|Description||The module is composed of two portions: Control Engineering and Automation. The Control Engineering portion of the module builds on the work done in the Control Engineering Major Modules 1 and 2 (Year 3, Semester 1 and Year 4, Semester 1). The module introduces the learner, in a broad manner, to non-linear, adaptive and discrete-time control techniques. The Automation portion of the module builds on the work done in the Control Engineering Major modules (Year 3, Semester 1 and Year 4 Semester 2). The learner will automate|
analogue, high speed and complex sequential processes. On this module, 24 contact hours are devoted to Control Engineering and 24 contact hours are devoted to Automation.
