|Description||The module is composed of two portions: Control Engineering and Automation. The Control Engineering portion of the module builds on the work done in the Control Engineering Major Module 1 (Year 3, Semester 1). On completion of this module, the learner will have competence in controller design to a professional engineering|
level. The Automation portion of the module builds on the work done in the Control Engineering Major module (Year 3, Semester 1). On completion of this module, the learner will implement control of analogue, high speed and complex sequential processes. On this module, 24 contact hours are devoted to Control Engineering and 24 contact hours are devoted to Automation.
