|Description||The aim of this module is to provide students with the skills to select, configure and deploy embedded systems for|
real-time applications. Students will learn to understand the critical characteristics of real-time systems, to analyse
different approaches to embedded systems design and to work within the restrictions imposed by typical
embedded system platforms. The module also provides students with knowledge of the technology (hardware,
software and communications) needed to support real-time multimedia applications such as audio and video,
particularly in the context of embedded devices with constrained resources.
