|Description||This module introduces the concepts of software components and network centric computing, and the hardware platforms and characteristics necessary to support them. Modern software systems are frequently assembled from previously existing components, and this module provides the student with the knowledge and skills to select appropriate components to implement a set of specific requirements. The module also includes a consideration of the influence of hardware features such as processing, storage and communications resources on the selection of software components.|
